How to correctly attach and fill the Baumbad watering bag

Using the Baumbad watering bag is simple. However, it's important that you pay attention to a few points when filling it for the first time.

1. Attach the watering bag to the tree: Place the opened tree bath watering bag around the tree trunk and then close the zipper. Make sure the bag is standing upright on the ground and that there are no sharp objects underneath it.

2. Partially fill the watering bag first: First, fill the bag with approximately 10 liters of water. Do not fill it completely yet.

3. Briefly lift the bag: Briefly lift the partially filled watering bag by the black loops. This allows the bottom of the bag to fully expand and the water to then flow out through the designated watering openings. 
Important: The black loops are for briefly lifting the bag during filling. The watering bag must not be hung or attached to them.

4. Fill the watering bag completely: Then you can fill the bag completely with water. The water will now slowly leak out through the small openings on the bottom.

Important information on application

To ensure your tree bath watering bag functions reliably and can be used for as long as possible, you should observe the following points:

• Use water that is as clean as possible. Dirt particles can clog the small irrigation openings.
  
• If the water used contains dirt or suspended particles, it should be filtered before filling.
• Do not attach or hang the watering bag by the black loops.
• Do not open the zipper while the bag is full.
• Do not transport a fully filled watering bag.
• Do not enlarge or damage the filling opening.
• Remove the watering bag from the tree if you will not need it for an extended period of time and store it in a dry place.

What to do if the watering bag doesn't empty?

If the water runs unusually slowly or not at all out of the watering bag, the small outlet openings on the underside are often blocked.

Empty the bag and first check the openings. Deposits, dirt, or other particles can impede the water flow. This is another reason why we recommend using the cleanest water possible.

Can I also use the watering bag for fertilizing?

Generally, suitable liquid fertilizers can be applied along with the irrigation water. It is particularly important that the liquid contains no solid particles, as these can clog the small irrigation openings. The fertilizer should be dosed according to the manufacturer's instructions and thoroughly mixed with the water.

If the solution contains solid components or suspended particles, it should be filtered accordingly before filling.

How to use anti-theft devices correctly

If you wish to secure your Baumbad watering bag with a padlock, the lock must be attached before filling it completely. First, close the zipper and then thread the padlock through the designated eyelets. Afterward, you can fill the watering bag as described above.

Important: Never attach the lock to a bag that is already completely full, and do not remove it while the bag is full.

Use only suitable padlocks with a shackle diameter of no more than 6 mm and a shackle height of at least 50 mm to avoid damage.
